One command finds most problems, and a person answers the rest.

First

One command.

Something isn’t working

woodls doctor

It checks this computer: the install, your account and its key, the sandbox, the engine and your graphics chip, and says what to do about anything it finds. Most problems end there. The docs cover each command, and install says what goes where.

On Windows, run woodls from PowerShell as the installer set it up; it runs inside WSL2, and woodls doctor there says whether it can see your keyboard, mouse and graphics card. From inside WSL2 it can’t see a game start, so run woodls pause before you play, and woodls resume after.

The sandbox

One more check.

Lending on Windows, and on Ubuntu

Lending runs its engine in a sandbox. Ubuntu 24.04, which is also what Windows sets up inside WSL2, can stop that sandbox, and then woodls doesn’t lend. woodls doctor says whether it’s stopped on yours, and troubleshooting says how to allow it. Windows is new: tell us how it goes.

A person

The founder reads every message.

Write to a person

Write to hello@woodls.com, or reply to your invite email; both reach the same person. Say what you ran, what it said, and which computer it is. If woodls doctor printed something, paste it in, after reading it for anything you’d rather not send. Inside woodls code, /feedback writes the report for you.

Tell us

A request, a computer or a person.

If a request your computer served looked like abuse, or someone is misusing woodls, write to hello@woodls.com with what happened and when, and the ledger entry if you have one. The acceptable-use policy says what the public network won’t carry. To stop lending at once: woodls pause, or woodls host --stop.

Privately

Before anyone else.

A security problem

Write to hello@woodls.com with “security” in the subject, and give us a chance to fix it before you tell anyone else. We’ll answer, and say when it’s fixed.

Ask

We’ll answer.

Your data

To see what we hold about you, correct it or delete it, write to hello@woodls.com from the address you registered with. To leave woodls from your terminal, woodls account delete closes your account. The privacy page lists what we keep and for how long.
