Macs first
The alpha starts here.
macOS, Apple silicon
The install script comes with the alpha COMING. This is the command, and what it will do.
curl -fsSL https://woodls.com/install.sh | shYou’ll be able to read the script before you run it. What it installs, with sizes from today’s Mac build:
| Part | What it does | Size |
|---|---|---|
| woodls | The command, the host service and the local proxy | 20 MB |
| Receipts plugin | Signs a receipt for every job your machine serves | 0.5 MB |
| Engine | Mesh LLM with two woodls patches, run in a sandbox | 74 MB |
| Runtime | llama.cpp, from Mesh LLM’s release | 55 MB |
| One model | Only when you host; checked against its SHA-256 | 2 GB and up |
All of it goes in ~/.woodls, and nothing runs until you start it. Every download is checked
against its SHA-256, and against our signature once releases are signed COMING.
