Privacy

What we keep, where, and for how long. A draft for a lawyer’s review; not in force yet.

The summary

The full text follows.

In short

  • We keep very little: your account’s id and public key, your country, and your registration for early access.
  • We never keep your prompts or answers, except a job picked for checking, held in memory until its check ends.
  • The computer that answers your request can read it, but isn’t told who you are.
  • woodls.com has no trackers, no analytics scripts and no cookies, except the sign-in session and, if you register with Google or Apple, one that lasts ten minutes.

Never

In any log.

What we never keep

Your prompts and answers. A job picked to be run again for a check is held in memory until its check ends, then dropped.

The computer that answers

And only that.

What hosts see

The host that runs your request can read it. It isn’t told your account, your IP address or who you are. Secrets, common personal data, home-folder paths and git names and emails are taken out on your machine first, though nothing catches everything.

The website

Nothing follows you.

woodls.com

No trackers, no analytics scripts, and nothing loaded from anyone else. The only cookies are the sign-in session COMING, which can look but never spend, and, if you register with Google or Apple, one that lasts ten minutes and holds your woodl’s name, so woodls.com knows it’s you coming back. Google or Apple tells us only your email address, and confirms it; Apple may give an address that forwards to yours. We count visits from the server’s own logs.

Ask us

We’ll answer.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Deleting your account removes the link between you and your entries on the Rings; the entries stay, as fingerprints that no longer point to you. How to ask comes with the alpha COMING.

Limits

  • This is a draft. It isn’t in force until a lawyer has read it and it carries a version without the word draft.
