Draft 0.1 · 26 September 2026

Terms

The rules for using woodls, in plain words. A draft for a lawyer’s review; not in force yet.

The summary

The full text follows.

In short

  • woodls is a network of ordinary computers that run open-source AI for each other.
  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Seeds are a credit for AI on woodls. They have no cash value, can’t be bought, sold or sent to anyone, and never become cash.
  • A host must own the computer or be allowed to use it, and must not keep or share the requests it serves.
  • The computer that answers a request on the Forest can read it, so don’t send regulated data.
  • The alpha is a test: it can change or stop.

The service

Run by us, served by hosts.

  1. What woodls is

woodls is a service run by CyberChakra Technology, in India. People lend their computers while they’re away (hosting), and the network runs open-source AI models on them for other people (using). The Forest is the public network; a grove is a private one, made of your own or invited machines.

Adults

One account each.

  1. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older, and not in a country or region under sanctions that bar us from serving you. One account per person.

A credit

Never cash.

  1. Seeds

  • Seeds are a credit that can be spent only on AI run by woodls. They have no cash value.
  • You can’t buy, sell, send, give to another person or cash out seeds, and they never become cash or anything you can trade.
  • Welcome seeds expire 60 days after they’re granted. Seeds you earn by hosting don’t expire.
  • 15% of every job, the root fee, goes to Commons, a shared account kept for the network.
  • Seeds a host earns ripen before they can be spent: 14 days while its computer is new, then 7.
  • The Rings, our ledger, is the record of every seed.

Your requests

What you may send, and who reads it.

  1. Using the Forest

  • Follow the acceptable-use policy. Every request is checked against it before any host sees it, and a refused request costs nothing.
  • The computer that answers a request can read it. Don’t send data that the law says must stay private, such as health or bank records.
  • Answers come from AI models and can be wrong.

Your computer

Your responsibility, within limits.

  1. Hosting

  • You must own the computer or be allowed to use it for this.
  • You must not keep, copy or share the requests your computer serves, or the answers.
  • You pay for your own electricity and are responsible for your own taxes.
  • A host that cheats (for example, by serving a cheaper model than it claims) loses the pay for that job; after three confirmed cheats in 30 days it loses its unripened seeds and may be suspended.
  • The host agreement COMING sets these out in full.

Private

And still within the law.

  1. Groves

woodls doesn’t see what happens in a grove. You’re responsible for it, and the law still applies.

A test

Said plainly.

  1. The alpha

The alpha is a test. It can change, pause or stop, and the service may be slow or unavailable. Figures on this site come from our tests and are dated.

Any time

From your side.

  1. Leaving, and being asked to leave

You can stop at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we’ll say why.

Dated

Every version.

  1. Changes

Each version of these terms has a number and a date, and we’ll say what changed.

Limits

  • This is a draft. It isn’t in force until a lawyer has read it and it carries a version without the word draft.
