Credits for AI

Credits

What they are, where they come from, and where they go.

Credit

Earned, then spent.

What credits are

Credits pay for AI on woodls. You earn them by lending your computer, and spend them on AI. You can’t buy them, sell them, send them to someone else or cash them out, and the terms say they never become cash.

Three hundred credits A tray of 300 credits, drawn as amber seeds in 15 rows of 20. One is ringed, and a bracket under the tray marks one and a quarter credits, the cost of a real coding task. 1.24 credits: one coding task 300 credits
Plate I What credits buy Three hundred credits, drawn one seed each. In our tests, a coding agent renamed a function across three files for 1.24 credits, the bracket; and 2,000 short questions to a small model cost 1.74 credits in all, so one credit answered about 1,150 of them. Prices are on this page; the figures are from 26 September 2026, on one Mac.

Two ways

One of them later.

Where they come from

  • Hosting: every job your computer runs.
  • Later: a monthly allowance, and credits other people give to the shared account COMING.

Jobs

And the 15% fee.

Where they go

  • Jobs: you pay for exactly the text a model reads and writes, at the prices on the Use page.
  • The fee: 15% of every job goes to the shared account, kept for the network.

A wait

So a cheat can still be caught.

Pending

Credits a host earns are pending for 14 days while its computer is new to woodls, then for 7, before they can be spent.

A plain answer

Asked often.

Is this crypto?

No. There’s no coin, no mining and no blockchain, and credits can’t be traded. Every credit is kept on the ledger, which anyone can check.

Limits

  • Credits have no cash value.
